Important Dates and Upcoming Events

 

We are excited for a great year! M arnie, C hasilyn, D estinee, AUBRIE, GINGER, ZOEY, & JAYLEE are all looking forward to teaching all your cute girls and the hip-hop boys too. It is important that your child is at dance every week.

Remember – when you miss dance or when you are not prompt, the whole team suffers.  Let’s commit to ourselves, our coaches, and our teams to be there and be on time. Please text if your daughter will be later than a few minutes and if she misses dance. We’re going to have a great year!  

 

General Information

Tuition is always due the first dance class of each month.  There is a $10 late fee if paid any time after the first week. 

Parking:  Please pull in vertically and not horizontally to the house. Make sure you pull in far enough that the tail end of your vehicle is not sticking too far out into the street (even though you may need to pull onto our grass). Do not pull in front of the mailboxes. We’ve had our dance studio for over 30 years but there is not a lot of room to park. My neighbors have been great, but we don’t want to get them upset with our parking situation. The driveway in front of the gate is ours but the other side of the gate is not.  Thanks for your help and patience with this.

September

Classes have begun. Routines are started and in motion. If there are any girls struggling in our competition classes, then let us know.  If your girl has complained a bit about “not getting” the routine and being stressed out about being behind.  Please speak up and we can plan a private lesson.  We do not want to cause anxiety, but want to build confidence.  We want dancing to be fun and rewarding. It’s amazing what 1 or 2 private lessons will do.  Private lessons are $20 for a half hour or $35 per hour.

October

Costume fee is due with October tuition. These fees do NOT include tights & shoes.  For those with more than one girl dancing or if you make prior arrangements to split up the outfit payments, then the first half payment is due with October payment.

November

Winter Recital fee of $45 per family is due with November tuition.  If you split the outfit payments into 2 payments, then final payment is due.

December

Winter break Christmas parties will be December 18^th -21^st during your daughters’ dance class time.  Bring a wrapped or bagged gift $2.00-$3.00 to the party.

 

 

January

Classes start Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday of the week after New Years Day. (Jan 2,3, 4, & 8)

Winter Recital – January 25th. Riverton High School. Solos at 6:15. Team Dances 7:30-8:45

St. George competition fees are due for the Competition Teams.  Fees are $20.00 per dancer per dance.  $60.00 (3 dances) for all competition teams.  

Make sure to book your rooms for St. George Competition for March 22 & 23!

February

Tuition due first dance class of the month. Valentine’s party for classes Ages 3-5, STARS, Jr Prep & Jr Elite.

March

St. George Competition is Friday March 22nd for Solos, Duets, & Trios, and Saturday March 23rd for the Competition Teams. Competition Fees due for Lagoon Competition - $20 per dancer per dance. 

April

Tuition is due on the first dance class of the month, along with Spring Recital fee of $45 per family.

May

Tuition is due on the first dance class of the month.

Lagoon Competition on Saturday May 18, 2024

June

Tuition due first dance class of month. Summer Recital - TBA.

 

*The dancers who come to Technique consistently have shown much improvement.  We do stretch, work on flexibility, splits, leaps and turns. They also learn dance combinations to improve their ability to learn quickly.   Most competition teams require that the girls take Ballet, Technique and some require Tumbling also.

 

Dance Jackets, leggings and sweats are available. Jackets are $50 child size and $65 Adult size. I am also getting sweatpants and flare leggings made with our logo on them.  Leggings and sweatpants are $30 child size and $40 Adult size. Dance bags with our logo and dancers’ names are available too. They are $55. They make great Christmas gifts.

“dancemcd” We will be posting things like upcoming events, team schedules, outfits, shoes that you will need to buy, girls who get their splits or amazing extensions or just some fun times at dance class, recitals and competitions. Etc. 

 

I use text as my main form of communication.  I will be updating the blog with all important information come recital time, and competition time. You can always text me with questions.  I will not respond until after 3:30 pm. I work and usually don’t have a chance to respond until after that time. You will get texts from me often after midnight hours. If this bothers you, let me know. Most of you will have your phones turned off.  I’m just hoping you will see the text the next morning or day.
